Computer Access and Printing

All Boise Public Library locations provide free computer and wi-fi access where you can complete and file your taxes online. If you prefer paper filing, we have printers and scanners, and staff can help you print tax forms and completed returns for free (directions and any personal supplemental information will need to be printed at the regular costs). The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) partners with local communities to provide Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) and AARP Foundation Tax-Aide programs. Help is also available through the IRS's Taxpayer Advocate Service.

Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA)

Boise Public Library partners with Boise State University (BSU) to provide free tax help at the Downtown Library. Schedule an appointment at TaxHelpID.org. Drop-ins are welcome. Check the library's online calendar for sessions.

AARP Foundation Tax-Aide

Boise Public Library partners with AARP Foundation Tax-Aide program at the Library! at Hillcrest. Check the library’s online calendar for sessions. Make your appointment in person. Please bring your documents with you in case you can be seen right away. You do not need to be an AARP member or retiree to use this service. All Tax-Aide volunteers are IRS-certified.
